I found this beauty at an antique store in Maine. The last patent date is 1905. It has a handle that locks to the gears in the middle through the arched support. It is made of tinned steel and is basically the original Kitchenaid. The two stiff wire beaters spin on their own axis as well as around the center gear. I haven’t tried it yet, but will see how well it mixes soon.

There is a hook for dough that goes with this in addition to a clamp to hold it to the table. I am looking for the instruction booklet for mine. Take a look at the Universal Bread Maker from the same time frame. These folks had some wonderful ideas that are still functional today. I use my breadmaker regularly to mix and kneed bread and rolls.
